The NLC University program builds on core skills for local elected officials, appointed officials, city and state league staff. Every year, seminars and workshops are offered at the Congress of Cites and the Congressional City Conference, along with an annual Leadership Summit and a variety of regional programs and webinars. Participants can engage in NLC University events to develop and share innovations—from creative financing strategies and cutting-edge technology, to new policy solutions—that challenge assumptions and take a fresh approach to long-standing problems.

The Federal Advocacy Workspace is an interactive, performance-support ‘wizard’ that will help guide you through actionable advocacy steps.
NLC University, in collaboration with NLC Capstone Corporate Partner, Wells Fargo, is pleased to present a new online course designed to help municipal officials better understand the mortgage and foreclosure process and develop strategies to reduce the impact of foreclosure on cities. Because we understand what an important issue this is for communities, we're making this course available at no cost to both NLC members and non-members.
