Unmet basic needs often derail students’ efforts to attain postsecondary credentials, which negatively impacts their ability to succeed in the workforce. The National League of Cities (NLC) is launching a new Community of Practice (COP) for 12 selected city teams to help cities remove barriers to basic needs such as food, housing, childcare, transportation, and digital access for postsecondary students.
This webinar will provide information on this important work and how to apply to be one of the 12 cities selected for the CoP. Those who register will have the opportunity to learn about the COP, ask questions of NLC staff, and to learn about NLC’s current initiative to support the basic needs of postsecondary students. You can learn more about the CoP and apply to join HERE.
