The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the importance of preparing for the unexpected. Those unseen events omitted from city planning and budgets, which cast light on existing social inequities and economic shortfalls that affect millions across the country. As our country works toward recovery, it is imperative to continue to coordinate our governmental responses beginning with addressing the needs of infants and toddlers.
In the spirit of this drive towards equity and cooperation, the National League of Cities (NLC), National Association of Counties Research Foundation (NACoRF), and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) have partnered to launch the State and Local Government Prenatal to Three Collaboration in Action Series.
To kick off the series, NLC will convene experts and local leaders to highlight the importance of intergovernmental collaboration in advancing prenatal to three efforts as we work to build equitable systems that prioritize the well-being of young children.
