The National League of Cities is excited to present this year’s Hispanic Elected Local Officials (HELO) Summer Convening in Rancho Cordova, California – a first-tier suburb of Sacramento.

HELO serves as a network for members to make meaningful connections with fellow Hispanic and Latino/local officials, share best practices, and advocate for policies that benefit their community. As the group continues to address current issues facing the Latino/a and Hispanic communities, this conference will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to:

  • Connect with peers from across the country, including Hispanic and Latino/local officials and municipal staff.
  • Learn what issues and projects municipalities in the area are taking on.
  • Attend workshops to bring back tools and resources to enhance your city.
  • Explore creative solutions to challenges experienced in your communities.

What to Expect

We look forward to having you join us for engaging panels, informative workshops, and peer discussions on various topics that local leaders around the country are addressing.

This year, HELO is striving to bring local leaders resources in the following areas:

  • Successful strategies for affordable housing
  • Innovations in energy
  • Disparate access to health and mental health services for Latino communities

Stay tuned for exciting updates on speakers and session titles coming soon!
