WASHINGTON, D.C. — National League of Cities (NLC) CEO and Executive Director Clarence E. Anthony issued the following statement after President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law:
“On behalf of all cities, towns and villages, we thank Congress and the Administration for investing in ambitious local climate action by enacting this law. Local leaders are on the frontlines of the climate crisis, and the provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act will support critical investments in renewable energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This is an important step forward in our collective fight against climate change, and will help local leaders create more resilient communities in the years to come.”
