Washington D.C. – This November, at the National League of Cities (NLC) City Summit conference in Atlanta, Georgia, Enterprise Partner CGI Digital (CGI) was presented with the esteemed 2023 NLC Service to Cities Award. Established in 2014, this annual award recognizes an NLC strategic partner for making a significant contribution to building stronger, more innovative, and resilient cities, towns and villages.
“We are pleased to recognize CGI as this year’s winner of the NLC Service to Cities Award,” said Clarence Anthony, CEO and Executive Director of the National League of Cities.” The digital programs CGI offers NLC’s member cities have played an important role in highlighting some of the best features of our communities and in supporting local businesses. At NLC, we look forward to continuing to collaborate with CGI as a longstanding partner.”
Since 2005, CGI has provided roughly 1,000 NLC member cities and towns with video tours, at no cost, through its Community Showcase Video Program. Advertising the assets and attributes of communities through a series of custom videos, these tours have given cities, towns and villages a voice to showcase their uniqueness and highlight the impact of local businesses.
“We are honored to receive the Service to Cities Award from the National League of Cities,” said Nicole Rongo, Vice President of Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships at CGI Digital. “This Award is a testament to our commitment to helping communities thrive.
With topics ranging from economic opportunities, workforce development, recreation, tourism, public safety, sustainability, diversity, education, and healthcare, CGI has produced over 40,000 videos for communities across the country. CGI’s dedication to improving and promoting communities across the nation through high-impact video tours led them to stand out among 80+ businesses that also competed for the award.
