The National League of Cities (NLC) is excited to announce the next leg of its Centennial Roadshow: 100 Years, 100 Cities. This monumental event, celebrating the organization’s 100th anniversary, aims to celebrate the diversity, resilience, and transformation of America’s local communities. After a century of dedicated service to cities, towns and villages across the nation, NLC embarked on a journey to commemorate its historic milestone.
The roadshow kicked off in February at the University of Kansas, where the organization was founded. NLC has been traveling across the country ever since, making stops in cities of all sizes, from coast to coast. The southern leg began on May 20, with tours through cities in Palm Beach County, Florida.
“Earlier this week, we proudly kicked off the southern leg of our Centennial Roadshow, visiting remarkable cities, towns and villages like my hometown, South Bay, Florida,” said National League of Cities CEO and Executive Director Clarence E. Anthony. “NLC has had numerous victories over our 100-year history; most recently, we helped pass the American Rescue Plan Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to bring critical funding to local communities to build new and updated projects. Over the next several weeks, NLC is excited to be welcomed into communities across the South by local leaders to see the results of these victories and everything that makes their communities special.”
