Gateways to addressing wastewater challenges, promoting climate resilience
The U.S. Department of Treasury’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Interim Final Rule, issued on May 10, 2021, identified wastewater infrastructure projects as eligible if they met the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) eligibility criteria. This fact sheet highlights the CWSRF program, two gateways to addressing wastewater challenges (i.e., gray and green infrastructure), how wastewater infrastructure investments can promote climate resilience, highlighted cases and helpful resources.
