Disaster Preparedness

As natural disasters become more powerful and common, state and local officials discuss the coordination and collaboration needed to respond. We had the pleasure of hearing from the Maryland Governor, who faced the Francis Scott Key bridge collapse within a few weeks of taking office, and Mayor Chelsea Byers about the fires that engulfed the Los Angeles area. The panel was moderated by Mayor Van Johnson, who also faced flooding and other natural disasters in his communities.
