The murder of George Floyd in 2020 sparked national unrest and long overdue conversations about public safety internationally. At NLC, the Reimagining Public Safety Task Force created a space for local leaders to engage in that dialogue and come together with recommendations for cities that would lead to a new vision for community safety.
